When I go blind

Brilliant colors of red, yellow and blue
Different shades and different hues
Will I cease to see, I don’t mind
When I go blind.

The formation of clouds in the sky
The glorious sun that never dies
Will I cease to see, I don’t mind
When I go blind.

The widest of flowing rivers
The vastness of the open sea
Will I cease to see, I don’t mind
When I go blind.

The faces of the people I know
The frown and the smiles they show
Will I cease to see, I don’t mind
When I go blind.

The fear and hatred they have for me
All their lies and false naiveté
Will I cease to see, I don’t mind
When I go blind.

Yet the truth in their hearts I can see
Whatever they do, wherever they flee
Everything will be so clear, I don’t mind
When I go blind.
